Vietnamese Ambassador visits, works with Austria-Vietnam Friendship Association

At the meeting, Ambassador Kien highly appreciated the association’s contributions to the development of relations between the two countries, the valuable support of the association to the Vietnamese Embassy, and the contributions of the members, especially the founders.

The two sides discussed cooperation plans in 2022, the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Austria.

The President of the Austria-Vietnam Friendship Association expressed his pleasure and appreciated that Vietnam is preparing for the establishment of the Vietnam-Austria Friendship Association, and looks forward to soon cooperating with it.

Dr. Peter Jankowitsch used to be the Minister of Foreign Affairs (1986-1987 and 1990-1992). Since 1998, he has been the President of the Austria-Vietnam Friendship Association and has made many contributions to the relationship between the two countries./.
