The three-day fair attracts the participation of hundreds of suppliers and designers in the global textile and garment supply chain.

At the leading international trade fair for fashion and apparel procurement, the Vietnamese enterprises displayed products with diverse and creative designs, many of which are made from green and environmentally friendly materials such as coffee and lotus fibers.

Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, permanent representative of Vietnam to the UN, highly appreciated the impressive presence of Vietnamese apparel products in New York City, particularly as the American city is considered to be one of the world's leading fashion centres.

He said that textile-garments is a key Vietnamese export product and ample room remains for its businesses to further expand its market share, while emphasizing the need to approach potential customers, learn about and rapidly grasp fashion trends, and focus on innovation, thereby meeting the demand of fastidious markets like the US.

The diplomat emphasized that local associations and businesses continue to boost closer co-ordination with Vietnam’s representative agencies in the US, including the Permanent Mission of Vietnam in New York. This will help to bring Vietnamese products closer to the local market as a contribution to creating new development momentum for the apparel industry whilst enhancing trade links between Vietnam and the US./.
