Vietnamese community celebrates Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane's birthday

A delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy and agencies beside the embassy, representatives of Vietnamese businesses, and the General Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Laos, on December 12 offered flowers to Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane and visited the museum of the President Kaysone Phomvihane in Vientiane.

This was an activity to celebrate the 102nd birthday of Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane (December 13, 1920 – December 13, 2022); 47 years of Lao National Day (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2022); 60th anniversary of Vietnam - Laos diplomatic relations and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Laos-Vietnam Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation.

On behalf of the delegation, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung placed a flower basket in front of the statue of Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane, the outstanding and beloved leader of the Lao people, and a great and very close friend of Vietnamese people.

After a minute of silence, the delegation visited the museum of Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane and heard an introduction about the life and revolutionary career of Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane and about the close relations between the Lao and Vietnamese revolutions.

In the guestbook at the museum, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung expressed his great emotion when he offered flowers and learned more about the life, career and merits of Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane to the Lao revolution and the special Laos-Vietnam relationship.

“We always remember the great merits of the President and vow to do our best to cultivate the Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam special solidarity to become 'forever green, forever sustainable' relations," the ambassador said./.
