The five restaurants offered traditional Vietnamese dishes such as chicken and beef noodles, bun cha (rice vermicelli with grilled pork and fresh herbs), bun thang (rice vermicelli with chicken, egg and pork), bread, sugarcane juice and various desserts.

The idea and implementation of this activity came very quickly but was immediately supported and registered by Vietnamese restaurants in France, Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam, ABVietFrance Chairman, shared with the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Paris.

According to Mr. Ngo Minh Duong, owner of Thanh Binh Jeune Supermarket, the charity sale attracted a lot of supporters. Before organizing the event, the participating units pledged to donate all revenue from the two days of sales, including principal and interest, to support victims of natural disasters in Vietnam.

The first day of sales raised 3,521 EUR and he expected the second day to bring in even more money.

Mr. Jean Paul Pruvost, a French citizen, said that, when hearing about the event, he and his family immediately came out with the desire to contribute to supporting the victims of natural disasters in Vietnam.

This activity serves as a clear testament to the spirit of mutual support, national solidarity and the deep-rooted compassion of the Vietnamese people who always look back to their homeland, especially during difficult times./.
