Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnamese community in Kazakhstan quickly and actively raised donations to send back to the homeland to ease the difficulties of people at home with the hope of helping those who suffered damage from Typhoon Yagi to soon stabilize their lives and overcome their current situation.

Representatives of the Vietnamese Association in Kazakhstan in coordination with local authorities on September 28 presented 55 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to people in flood-hit areas and disadvantaged families in Tan Lap, Tan Linh and Minh Xuan communes of Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province.

The Vietnamese community in Kazakhstan has only about 40 people, but the whole community is always united, close-knit, caring for each other, always wholehearted towards the homeland, and has organized many volunteer activities to support the people in the country and actively acts as a bridge to enhance understanding and cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.

“The Vietnamese community in Kazakhstan always promotes the spirit of ‘mutual love’ of the Vietnamese people and wishes to join hands with local authorities and people across the country to encourage and ease the difficulties people in flood-affected areas have suffered, to soon stabilize their lives,” Mr. Pham Van Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Kazakhstan, shared with the Word and Vietnam Report./.
