Vietnamese community in Laos joins hands to support disabled children in Vientiane

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan, Counselor, standing member of the Community Affairs Committee of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, said that the 10th Vietnam Youth Football Tournament in Laos had ended with strong impressions of the spirit of sports training to improve health, solidarity and nobility of the players and teams. She believes that this tournament will continue to be maintained and organized more successfully in the following seasons.

The Vietnam Youth Football Tournament in Laos was held from October 5-27, with the participation of seven teams from groups and clubs of Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Laos.

Over the past 10 years, this meaningful annual football tournament has been an indispensable part of the sports activities of Vietnamese people, and mobilized resources to support deaf and blind children in difficult circumstances in the host country.

At the end of the ceremony, the Organizing Committee and the football teams presented gifts to the representatives of the centers for deaf, blind and disabled children protection in the capital Vientiane./.
