The festival, which falls on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month, was attended by representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy, Overseas Vietnamese Associations in Laos, and a large number of Vietnamese and Lao Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers.
The event is held annually at the Phat Tich pagoda to preserve the traditional culture within the Vietnamese community in Laos, creating condition for Buddhists to express their respects and gratitude towards their parents and ancestors.
