Vietnamese cuisine promoted at 2024 ASEAN Bazaar in Venezuela

The Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela and the embassies of other ASEAN member countries have organized 2024 ASEAN Bazaar in Caracas.

The event aims to strengthen cultural exchange and promote the images of ASEAN countries as well as enhance mutual understanding and friendly relations with the host country.

At the event, the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela set up a unique cultural space showcasing typical products imbued with the Vietnamese identity, including handicrafts, traditional long dress (Ao Dai), conical hats, and well-known dishes like Pho (noodle soup with beef or chicken) and Nem (fried spring rolls).

Indian Ambassador to Venezuela, Ashok Babu and his wife expressed their delight at enjoying Vietnamese coffee and delicacies at the Vietnamese booth.

Meanwhile, Ambassador of Suriname Gustaaf Rasiman and Ambassador of Egypt Karim Essameldin Amin also highly appreciated the organization of the event by Vietnam and other ASEAN member countries.

They also expressed their desire to participate in the fair under the ASEAN + Bazaar model in the near future.

“I have been to Vietnam many times and I am especially impressed with Vietnamese cuisine. You have a wonderful culinary culture,” said Mr. Oswaldo Hernández, President of the Venezuela - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy in collaboration with the office of Vietnam News Agency in Latin America introduced the Spanish edition of Vietnam Pictorial and photos of Vietnam's beautiful landscapes./.
