Ambassador Duong Hai Hung affirmed that the launch of the Vietnamese Cultural House contributes to enhancing cultural understanding between Vietnam and Italy.
Mr. Renato Darsie, Chairman of the Italy-Vietnam Friendship Branch in Veneto region, affirmed the important significance of opening the Vietnamese Cultural House in Venice.
Along with teaching Vietnamese language at Ca' Foscari University, the Vietnamese Cultural House in Venice will contribute to promoting cooperation and cultural exchange between Italy and Vietnam.
Mr. Renato hoped that through the Vietnamese Cultural House in Venice, cultural exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and Italy, or with the Veneto region, would see concrete steps toward stronger implementation in the near future.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Duong Hai Hung thanked Mr. Renato and the Italy-Vietnam Friendship Branch for their efforts to coordinate with regional and city authorities to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese students to have the Vietnamese Cultural House.
The launch of the Vietnamese Cultural House is a very important event in the Vietnam – Italy friendship and cooperation, contributing to enhancing cultural understanding between the two countries and building a bridge for the future of bilateral relations.
Congratulating Vietnamese students in Italy for having a separate place to organize learning and cultural activities of Vietnam, Ambassador Duong Hai Hung hoped that in the near future there will be cultural events to introduce Vietnam to Italian friends and build friendship with the Italian people, as well as encourage young Vietnamese to study in Italy.
The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnamese students in Italy are cultural ambassadors of Vietnam, cultural bridges between Vietnamese people and Italian people.
Venice has about 50 Vietnamese students but they have no specific basis to study and exchange with international friends.
According to Mr. Pham Hung Vuong, a Vietnamese student studying in Venice, the Vietnamese Cultural House will be a good place for Vietnamese students in Italy to study, exchange and promote Vietnamese culture to Italian friends and international friends./.
