Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt prepares to celebrate Lunar New Year Festival

The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt has organized activities to prepare for the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet), which has the participation of all officials, staff of the embassy, agencies beside the embassy and Vietnamese families in Egypt.
The activities have many profound meanings, contributing to strengthening the cohesion of the community, and at the same time promoting the fine traditional culture of Vietnam to Egyptian and regional friends.

The Vietnamese Ambassador, his spouse, officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and agencies beside the embassy and Vietnamese families in Egypt participate in making Chung cake.

The campus of the embassy becomes more brilliant than usual with traditional long dresses (Ao dai) of Vietnam. 

Vietnamese children in Egypt are eager to participate in making Chung cake and learn about the traditional customs of Vietnam on the occasion of Tet.

Making Chung cake to celebrate New Year is a traditional activity maintained by the Vietnamese Embassy for years.

This is a profound activity, contributing to strengthening community cohesion, and promoting good traditional cultural features of Vietnam to Egyptian and regional friends.

By the flickering fire, the pots of banh chung brought a warm atmosphere, alleviating the homesickness of the Vietnamese community in Egypt./.
