Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary launches fundraising campaign to support flood victims

Responding to the call of General Secretary and President To Lam and the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee along with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary organized a fundraising campaign to support people suffering from the consequences of storm No. 3 (Typhoon Yagi).

Speaking at the ceremony held at the Embassy headquarters, Chargé d'Affaires Le Trong Ha emotionally shared that in the context of people in many provinces and cities struggling to bear the consequences and heavy losses of people and property, the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary organized the fundraising campaign to demonstrate the tradition of mutual support of the Vietnamese people, contributing to joining hands with the Party and State to quickly restore production and help people resume their daily activities.

At the event, officials, staff and spouses of the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary donated over 20 million VND to support the people affected by the Typhoon Yagi at home.       

The Embassy also sent a letter to the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Hungary to call on associations and overseas Vietnamese in Hungary to join hands, spiritually and materially helping people at home to overcome the current difficulties caused by natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives after the typhoon and floods./.
