Vietnamese Embassy in Laos launches fundraising campaign to support typhoon victims

The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos launched a fundraising campaign on September 15 to support people affected by Typhoon Yagi in northern provinces of Vietnam in response to the appeal of the General Secretary and President To Lam and Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

As of September 15 afternoon, the campaign raised nearly 1.4 billion VND.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos will present part of the donation to typhoon-hit localities in northern Laos while the rest will be sent to typhoon victims in Vietnam.
As of 5:30 pm on September 15, Typhoon Yagi and its remnants have left 330 people dead or missing in Vietnam including 292 fatalities./.
