The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning, Secretary General of Council of Commerce and Industry Departments and representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only more than 20 businesses of Saudi Arabia were invited to directly participate and some businesses participated online.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Vu Viet Dung emphasized that trade between the two countries is still an indispensable need even though the COVID-19 pandemic is creating a great impact. More than 60 Vietnamese enterprises sent their export products to be introduced, hoping that Saudi Arabian businesses will determine the needs of the local market and connect with Vietnamese businesses on the foundation of mutually beneficial sale and purchase. The embassy is always ready to accompany businesses of both countries.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning Bandar Alkhamies highly appreciated the opening of the export product introduction room, saying it was a practical activity to promote Vietnamese goods into Saudi Arabian market during the pandemic.

The entire event was live broadcast for more than 60 businesses in Vietnam to follow. Also at this opening ceremony, the embassy organized online B2B business connections between businesses with products on display at the event and local businesses, who are interested in the products.

Through the event, Arab businesses recognized the quality and design of Vietnamese products such as dragon fruit, seedless lemon, passion fruit, rice, cashew, coffee, pepper, cereal confectionery, textiles, and medical protective equipment.

At the event, guests directly enjoyed Vietnam's export products and received a brochure named Introductory Products for Export from Vietnam, published by the embassy.

The showroom will be open continuously to welcome visitors when needed and the embassy will be ready to support online connection of businesses from both sides. The embassy has also made a plan to introduce the above products in major localities of Saudi Arabia in the near future./.
