Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia promotes diplomatic and economic relations in Oman

A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia led by Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung has paid a working visit to Oman to enhance diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

During the working trip from December 7-9, Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung worked with Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Hosni, Head of the Asia-Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, as well as Mr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas, Chairman of Oman’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with whom he chaired a discussion on trade with local businesses.

At the meeting with the Head of the Asia-Pacific Department, Ambassador Dung emphasized that the two countries still have much room to strengthen relations, especially in the fields of diplomacy, trade and tourism.

The two sides agreed to promote cooperation mechanisms between the two sides, and in the immediate future, it is necessary to soon organize the 4th Meeting of the Joint Committee and the 4th Political Consultation between the two Foreign Ministries to review bilateral relations and set directions to promote multifaceted relations.

In an exchange with the Chairman of Oman’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ambassador highlighted Vietnam's export strengths and investment attraction as well as the trade and investment cooperation potential between the two countries.

Agreeing with the Ambassador's opinions, Mr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas informed about a number of activities and initiatives of Oman’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry in enhancing trade cooperation between Oman and other countries, assigned a contact point to the Embassy and said that it would provide relevant information for both sides to promote this potential field of cooperation.

Speaking at the discussion, Ambassador Dung expressed his pleasure at meeting directly with Omani businesses interested in Vietnam, emphasizing that the Embassy will provide information and updated policies on trade, tourism and suggesting areas of cooperation between Vietnam and Omani businesses in the coming time.

After the presentation by the Trade Office staff on business and trade opportunities and potential in Vietnam, the Embassy answered questions from Omani businesses regarding the import of products from Vietnam, visa procedures, flight routes between the two countries and tourist attractions.

In addition to the discussion, the embassy also displayed and promoted samples of goods, and distributed information books about dozens of Vietnamese businesses.

On this occasion, the diplomat had a working visit to Oman’s Integrated Logistics Services Company, one of the leading companies in Oman in the field of supply chain management and logistics.

The Company's Board of Directors expressed their hope that they will find major partners in Vietnam to provide products of good quality and which are Vietnam's strengths in the Oman market./.
