Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand raises funds to support victims of Typhoon Yagi

The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand launched a fundraising campaign in Bangkok on September 11 to support those affected by Typhoon Yagi at home.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung said that people in many localities at home are struggling to cope with the devastation and impact of storm No. 3 (Typhoon Yagi), causing severe consequences and huge losses, so the Embassy organized this fundraising campaign to show its sympathy and solidarity with the government and people at home to help people in areas affected by natural disasters.

After the appeal of Ambassador Hung, all officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand and representatives from other Vietnamese agencies such as the Trade Office, Ministry of Science and Technology, Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Radio The Voice of Vietnam, the Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam News Agency in Thailand participated in the donation to support compatriots in the country.

On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung sent a letter calling on Vietnamese organizations, groups, individuals, businesses and philanthropists living, studying and working in Thailand to promote the tradition of solidarity to share and provide spiritual and material assistance to support people affected by the consequences of storm No. 3, contributing together with the Party and State to quickly restore production and help people resume their daily activities./.
