Vietnamese health workers offer free check-ups to 600 Cambodian people

A delegation of doctors and nurses from the Department of Public Security of the southern province of An Giang on October 22 organized to provide free check-ups, medicines and gave presents to 600 people in Takéo province, Cambodia.

The delegation was led by Colonel Nguyen Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of the An Giang Department of Public Security.

The program aimed to strengthen the unity and friendship between the authorities and peoples of An Giang and Takéo provinces in particular as well as between Vietnam and Cambodia in general.

The doctors and nurses gave advice on the prevention and treatment of some common diseases there, such as osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, stomachache, as well as cardiovascular, respiratory and skin diseases.

In addition, the health workers also gave advice on personal hygiene in daily activities.

On this occasion, An Giang province’s Department of Public Security also presented rice, instant noodles, and other necessities to local people in Takéo province./.
