Speaking at the seminar held on November 23, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu highly appreciated the contributions and achievements of the Vietnam - Japan Intellectual Women’s Association since its establishment, affirming that the association has gradually demonstrated its core role in gathering solidarity and promoting the creativity of intellectual women; emphasizing that the establishment of the Vietnam - Japan Intellectual Women’s Association is a memorable milestone, contributing to promoting cooperation and innovation between Vietnam and Japan through the role of intellectual women.
Women play an important role in the development of each family, each society, each country and each nation, he emphasized.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan will create all favorable conditions for intellectuals, including intellectual women, to maximize their capacity and enthusiasm, creating favorable conditions for female intellectuals and scientists to participate in start-up activities.
For her part, Ms. Tran Thi Hue, President of the Vietnam - Japan Intellectual Women’s Association, said that the association is a social and professional organization, gathering Vietnamese intellectual women living in Japan, promoting their talents and knowledge in scientific research activities, disseminating knowledge, improving knowledge and skills for women and the community; and cooperating with international friends, contributing to the development of women and gender equality.
Ms. Hue pledged that in the coming time, the Vietnam - Japan Intellectual Women’s Association will actively expand its cooperation, aiming to build a cohesive and united community, common information channels to connect the Vietnamese intellectual wome in Japan; organize webinars to share information on healthcare and financial management, and on teaching Vietnamese language to Vietnamese children.
In addition, the association will connect with domestic and Japanese associations, aiming to organize scientific conferences in order to exchange science and technology between Vietnam and Japan, contributing to the innovation process in the country.
The Vietnam - Japan Intellectual Women’s Association was established this year on June 9./.
