As the largest tourism event of 2024, held from November 25-27, the event attracted over 300 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, including travel, tourism and hotel companies, as well as embassy booths, and around 12,000 visitors.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar participated in the fair to promote Vietnam's tourism potential with diverse tourism forms, meeting the interests of Qatari and Gulf tourists, from cultural and resort tourism to nature and culinary experiences, with various travel packages suited for different customer groups.

In the framework of the event, the Embassy, in collaboration with Vietravel Company, organized a Vietnamese booth that displayed images and information about Vietnam's prominent tourist attractions. This booth attracted significant attention from guests, companies and travel agencies both within Qatar and internationally.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy met with the Chairman of the Qatar Tourism Authority and representatives of Qatar Airways to discuss tourist visa issues for Vietnamese citizens and the resumption of the Doha - Da Nang direct flight.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Qatar Nguyen Huy Hiep highlighted Vietnam's plan to appeal to potential tourists from the Gulf region through promotional strategies focusing on cultural diversity, natural beauty, and personalized travel experiences. Efforts are also directed towards diversifying tourism services and enhancing service quality to meet the preferences of international tourists, including those from the Gulf region.

Participating in trade fairs in Gulf countries will help Vietnam promote its tourism services to a wide international audience, thereby increasing tourist arrivals, especially among high-spending, long-staying visitors./.
