Vietnamese traditional long dress leaves strong impression at ASEAN Textile Exhibition

The Vietnamese traditional long dress "Ao Dai" left a strong impression at the recent ASEAN Textile Exhibition held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei on August 22-24.

The event was organised by ASEAN embassies in Brunei and Timor Leste in collaboration with the Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and the ASEAN Youth Network Brunei to celebrate the 57th founding anniversary of ASEAN with the participation of Crown Prince of Brunei.
At the exhibition, ASEAN countries introduced their traditional garments and textiles, attracting significant attention from local and international visitors.
The Vietnamese Embassy's booth displayed "Ao Dai", the ancient five-flap robe, and modern variations.
Vietnam’s booth also featured handicrafts such as bamboo and rattan products provided by Vietnamese businesses in Brunei.
On the occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy promoted the Vietnamese culture and strengthen ties with Brunei, in line with the 2023-2027 Comprehensive Partnership Action Plan between the two nations./.
