Tien Yen walking street attracts a great number of locals and tourists
To promote the effectiveness of cultural values, Tien Yen district has defined to combine culture and tourism, preservation and development, ensuring the harmonization of interests. It has mobilized its locals to preserve and uphold cultural values.
According to Quang Ninh Newspaper, Tien Yen district has a range of unique cultural values bearing the regional characteristics. The preservation and promotion of the cultural values has always been the district’s top priority and important task which requires the participation of the entire political system, contributing to enriching the community’s cultural life.
In recent years, the district has strengthened the management of cultural relics and religious places. The festivals are held regularly, solemnly and economically. Last year, the district organized 40 visual propaganda campaigns with over 3,600 banners, banner flags, over 2,000 meters of string flags, installing over 230 panels.
The district restored and successfully organized many festivals such as Mr Hoang Can Temple Festival, Dao ethnic cultural festival (Ha Lau commune), San Chi ethnic culture and sports festival (Dai Duc commune), Dong Dinh Festival (Phong Du commune), traditional boat racing festival (Dong Rui commune). These above - mentioned activities not only promoted and preserved the cultural values but also enhanced the promotion and introduction of tourism image and cultural space at localities in the district to a great number of locals and tourists. Besides, it collected documents and published 600 Tien Yen travel handbooks and a great deal of postcards to promote Tien Yen tourism.
The district has regularly promoted the image of Tien Yen walking street. After over 2 years of operation, the walking street has become an appealing attraction and excellent cultural products of the ethnic minority people in the locality. Visiting the walking street, locals and tourists will experience interesting folkgames such as stilt walking, bamboo dancing, skipping, pot breaking and special art performances. The district has invested in building tourism infrastructure such as a road to get Pac Sui waterfall, Tay ethnic culture village, experiential tourism models in Hai Lang and Dong Rui mangrove forests...
The preservation and promotion of the traditional cultural values have been paid much concern, contributing to spreading the culture and cultivating the spiritual life of each Tien Yen people./.
