Tran Van Lam re-elected Secretary of Uong Bi City Party Committee

The draft political report at the Congress said that for the 2015-2020 term, party committees, cadres and party members in entire Uong Bi City Party Committee have made great efforts in implementing  the Party's policies and State’s laws, the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, the Resolution of the 19th Uong Bi City Party Committee. Economics continues to keep a decent growth momentum. The economic structure has shifted towards increasing the proportion of services. Infrastructure system, especially transport, urban, service, tourism, cultural and educational infrastructure is increasingly synchronous and modern. The task of building a new rural area is completed two year earlier than the plan. Business investment environment is improved.

The socio-cultural field has many positive changes. State management of Yen Tu festivals and landscapes is especially interested. The quality of the living environment is clearly improved. The people's material and spiritual life is increasingly improved. The average income per capita in 2019 will reach USD7,400/ person/ year, an increase of 1.78 times in comparision with those in 2015. The rate of poor households according to multiple criteria dimension decreased sharply from 1.42% in 2015 to 0.33% in 2019.

The Party building and ratification has been focused. The province has effectively implemented the model of Commission of Inspection, Organization and Internal Affairs; Secretary of Commune Party Committee is also Chairman of Commune People’s Committee; Secretary of Village Party Cell is Head of Village; Secretary of Commune Party Committee is not from the locality.

After listening to the draft political report at the Congress, delegates discussed and gave comments to the draft report. They also commented on the action plan to implement the Resolution of the City Party Congress, term 2020-2025; contribute opinions to the Document of the 15th Provincial Party Congress and Document of the 13th National Party Congress.

Especially with the spirit of concentration, responsibility, wisdom, the Congress voted the 20th City Party Committee, term 2020-2025 and directly elected Secretary of the City Party Committee. As a result, 41 comrades were elected to the Executive Board of the 20th City Party Committee, term 2020-2025. Tran Van Lam, Secretary of Uong Bi Party Committee, term 2015-2020, was re-elected as Secretary of Uong Bi City Party Committee, term 2020-2025, with high votes. The Congress also elected a delegation including 20 comrades to attend the 15th Provincial Party Congress./.
