Quang Ninh - An attractive destination to investors

There used to be investors coming to Quang Ninh seeking investment opportunity but they flinched from poorly connected transportation system. Realizing this limitation, Quang Ninh promptly put forwards solutions to untie bottlenecks. Especially, the province proactively made proposal of mobilizing legal capital sources to carry out transportation projects. To date, a series of mega transportation projects have been completed, namely Hai Phong - Ha Long - Van Don highway, Van Don international airport, and Hon Gai international cruise port. The project of Van Don - Mong Cai highway with dozens of billions VND from non-state budget is under construction.

In addition, Quang Ninh pays concern to administrative reform. The province has piloted the operation of Public Service Administration Center with over 1,500 administrative procedures at provincial level and inter-ministry level to be dealt with at the Center. All of 14 localities in the province also effectively operate public service administration centers at district level.

To create favorable conditions for investment seekers, Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) has conducted a number of effective measures. Investment seekers just contact with IPA instead of intermediaries as it used to be. Notably, investors’ proposals are summarized by IPA and submitted directly to Quang Ninh’s Chairman for consideration before putting on table for discussion at meetings with departments and localities.

Every year, Quang Ninh reviews and supplements projects to the list of projects calling investment and publishes them on e-portals of province, departments and localities, which gains trust among enterprises and investors. Investment by strategic investors into Quang Ninh have changed the look of provincial urban infrastructure, services and tourism, and made great contribution to provincial budget. Prominent names are Sun Group, VinGroup, FLC Group, Bim Group, Texhong Textile Group Company Limited, CEO Group, Amata Group, Foxconn Technology Group, TCL Corporation, Huyndai, Brain Works Japan.
