Environmentally friendly Asian-European youth delegation visits Ha Long Bay

At the meeting, Mr. Hoang Ba Nam, Secretary of Quang Ninh provincial Youth Union informed them about the socio-economic-political-cultural situation of the province, as well as the movements of the youth and teenagers of Quang Ninh province, especially environmental protection activities of the Quang Ninh youth such as mobilizing young people to plant trees, mangroves and collect garbage from Ha Long Bay.

It is hoped that in the coming time the Quang Ninh provincial Youth Union and the delegation of the Environmentally friendly Asian-European Youth project will continue to conduct joint activities and promote efficiency in environmental protection in Quang Ninh province.

In the afternoon, the delegates visited and learned about the environment on Ha Long Bay. After visiting Ha Long Bay, the delegation said that the environment there was quite clean. However, the small boats and ships scattered throughout the bay have affected the environment of Ha Long Bay. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to have a team of staff in charge of collecting garbage on the bay.

On August 20, the delegation of the Environmentally friendly Asian-European Youth project will return to Dong Trieu district to continue carrying out environmental activities in the district./.
