2013 national choreography competition for young talents opens in Quang Ninh province

The event was held by the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnamese Dancers’ Association. The competition was held in two regions, including the southern region in Ho Chi Minh City from August 5-9 and the northern region in Quang Ninh province from August 25-29.

The event aims to discover talented young stage choreographers, and will also be an opportunity for young choreographers of all dance genres to exchange experience, with professional photos and video of their work to create better works meeting the people's increasing demand in culture and the arts.

The event also aims to praise young choreographers who have made significant contributions to the country’s theatre development, as well as raise the quantity and quality of young choreographers with access to short term and long term education programs.

The closing ceremony, to be held on August 28, will present the winning works./.
