The decision issued aims to apply the official dispatches of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the provincial People’s Committee on avian flu prevention.
Accordingly, the province issued a ban on transport, trade and consumption of poultry and poultry products through border areas, including the presenting of poultry and poultry products of organizations, individuals and residents.
Localities will be responsible for working closely with the customs, police, market management, border guard and health worker systems to inspect and promptly discover and address any cases of transport, trade or slaughter of unclear-origin poultry through border areas.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is requested to work with veterinary departments to vaccinate poultry and sanitise breeding grounds, especially in places that previously reported avian flu outbreaks.
Localities will have to increase their dissemination of the danger of the disease, and of safe breeding measures to people.
Heads of agencies and communal authorities will be punished if there is negligence in the prevention of avian flu, negatively influencing people’s production and lives./.
