Ensuring food safety during mid-Autumn festival

The Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee has decided to establish 3 working units on food safety during mid-Autumn festival. Accordingly, they will be responsible for inspecting food safety in the province.

The provincial department of food safety, since August 26, has increased the dissemination of food safety information on food safety; distributed 554 discs on food safety in 14 districts, towns and cities and 186 wards and communes; organized 2 working delegations inspecting food safety in food processing and trade centres; and taken 23 samples of mid-Autumn cakes to be tested.

Although no violations have been reported, the health sector has encouraged people to buy mid-Autumn cakes in reputable places./.
