The program aims to ensure a warm mid-Autumn festival for disadvantaged children and those in remote, border and island areas; and encourage social involvement in protecting, caring and educating children and teenagers.

The program has been carried out since 2010 with over 10,000 presents having been given to disadvantaged children.

The presents have been provided for children thanks to the contributions of agencies, unions and enterprises inside and outside the province.

In 2013, the program aims to provide 2,000 mid-Autumn presents worth at least VND100,000 each.

Together with giving presents to disadvantaged children, mid-Autumn programs are expected to be organised in all districts, towns and cities across the province. In addition, the province will focus on raising people’s awareness on protecting, caring for and ensuring child rights, and praising bright examples on supporting disadvantaged children, according to the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union./.
