(CPV) - A short training course from September 8-21 for cadres and managers of Quang Ninh province has opened at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
The training course concentrates on the two large themes of public administration reform and e-government construction for 25 trainees from Quang Ninh province, led by Mr. Tran Van Minh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, head of the provincial National Assembly delegation; 9 leaders of districts, towns and cities, two directors of the public administration centres in Uong Bi and Mong Cai cities and leaders of departments and sectors of the province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Wu Wei, Director of the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration, affirmed the continued effective implementation the cooperation program signed with Quang Ninh province. He also hoped that the training course would help practically contribute to public administration reform and e-government construction in the province.
Representing the Quang Ninh delegation, Mr. Tran Van Minh affirmed the role and importance of organizing the training course to serve the province’s large political tasks more effectively, including public administration reform and e-government construction at the present time.
On the first day of the training course, the trainees were introduced to Singapore by Mr. Guo Sam Nan, Deputy Director of the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration.
This is the second training course of Quang Ninh province in the cooperation program on training and improving knowledge for leaders of Quang Ninh province in the period of 2013-2015, signed between the province and the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration under the Nanyang Technological University. Accordingly, the university will fund 65% of the total cost of the training.
Nanyang Technological University is one of four largest public universities in Singapore, including the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration, and is one of the prestigious and qualified specialized training centres. Over 200 Vietnamese officials and managers at all levels have studied at the university under the cooperation program of project 165 of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Organization./.
