US Corporation studies investment in Quang Ninh

The US’s ISC Corporation and partners of the Tuan Chau Group have visited Quang Ninh to study investment opportunity in the Van Don special economic zones.

ISC Chairman Jack Maher said that over the past two years, the corporation closely associated with Quang Ninh Province to set up planning and sign a contract to develop the recreational complex project in Tuan Chau Island, Ha Long City, with total capital of USD7.5 billion.

For the Van Don special economic zones, the group called upon other big groups in the US to study investment with a total capital of about USD4 billion.

For these, ISC and the partners of Tuan Chau Group hope that Quang Ninh province and the Vietnamese government will permit the investment in Van Don as soon as possible.

Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial party committee, Pham Minh Chinh, said that the investment in the Van Don special economic zone is given special attention by the Vietnamese government because the Van Don Island was prioritized in some policies, including the PM’s approval of building a casino there.

Quang Ninh is proposing that the Vietnamese government invest in developing luxury sea and island tourism, recreation with casino, financial market, green industry, clean agriculture, airports and harbours.

After the meeting, Mr. Chinh suggested that the two sides should sign close and long-term cooperation deals which bring profit to both and create the most favourable conditions for ISC and the partners of Tuan Chau Group to pour capital in Van Don./.
