Quang Ninh prepares for 18th National Film Festival

The 18^th National Film Festival titled “Vietnam’s Cinematography: Nation, Humanity, Creativity, Integration” will take place in Vietnam's northern province of Quang Ninh from October 11-15.

The festival, held every two years, has become an opportunity to boost exchange between local filmmakers. The event aims to honour the creativity of Vietnamese filmmakers in the context of increasing international integration.

In the framework of the 18^th National Film Festival, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold an exhibition titled “Cinematography with Quang Ninh” with the aim of introducing Quang Ninh’s people and area to visitors.

The organizers will present the Golden Lotus, Silver Lotus and the Jury Prizes for titles such as Best Director, Best Screenwriter, Best Filmmakers, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Art Designer, Best Music Designer and Best Sound Designer.

Several famous filmmakers from France and the Republic of Korea will attend the festival, and a seminar on cooperation in producing and releasing films.

A series of activities such as seminars on movies, a gala evening and exchanges between filmmakers and audiences will take place during the festival.
