Company gives housing assistance to families settling on Tran island

To thoroughly prepare infrastructure before bringing people to live on Tran island, the Dong Bac Corporation and some local departments and localities have made a survey to build houses for families on the island.

According to the project, from now until 2015, the northern province of Quang Ninh will send 30-35 families to settle on Tran island, with 17 families initially brought to live on the island in 2013.

The Dong Bac Corporation will assist in building 17 houses for the families. As planned, each lot of land will cover nearly 200 square metres, including 75 square metres for the building, ensuring good living conditions for households.

Right after identifying the positions for houses, the corporation will check for and clear any bombs and mines, and build the houses.

Together with building houses, other constructions, including water reservoirs, diesel power stations and the traffic system will also be built.

Tran Island belongs to Co To island district, situated some 35 nautical miles from Mong Cai city. The island has a large fishing ground where 80-100 fishing ships work.
