Commodity export turnover from Quang Ninh passes USD1.2 billion

By the third quarter this year, Quang Ninh’s total commodity export turnover reached more than USD1.2 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5 percent, according to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
In the first nine months this year, commodities with export turnover rise against the same period last month were chemical fibre (up 12.4 percent), cement (39.7 percent), clinker (27.5 percent), candles (75.9 percent) and clothes (58 percent).
Specifically, cotton products from a plant under Ngan Long Texhong Science and Technique Ltd Company contributed more than 17,300 tonnes to the province’s commodity export turnover.
Together with this, import turnover in the third quarter posted more than USD2.1 million, a year-on-year reduction of 0.2 percent. Major import commodities were automobile and motorbike devices, fertilizers and consumer products./.
