Dong Trieu harvests nearly 4,000 tonnes of aquatic products in nine months

(CPV) - Dong Trieu district of Quang Ninh province has exploited nearly 4,000 tonnes of aquatic products over the past nine months, with a revenue of nearly VND160 billion and reach over 87% of the plan in 2013.
This is a result due to good exploitation of the potentials of feeding freshwater fish in the locality. Moreover, the administration takes the initiative in communicating and transferring science and technology to farmers.
Currently, Dong Trieu district is raising aquatic products in 1,320ha with the participation of 2,446 households in 21 communes and towns .
In the coming time, the district Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will continue to work closely with professional agencies of the district and other localities to strengthen guidance for households on how to prevent diseases among shrimp and fish, and prepare all necessary conditions for a good aquatic harvest to ensure the completion of the set targets./.
