Quang Ninh province: Poor pupils given scholarships

The Cam Pha City Enterprises’ Association in the northern province of Quang Ninh has worked with the city study encouragement fund to present scholarships to 33 poor pupils who are eager to learn.

Each scholarship is worth VND3-12 million per year, with the total amount of the scholarships being VND111 million.
Started in 2010, this was the 4th time the association and sponsors awarded scholarships to poor but eager-to-learn pupils in the city.
Earlier, on the day for Vietnamese disabled people, the association gave 37 presents worth VND18.5 million to disabled orphans in the city, and a television worth VND52 million to a disadvantaged grandmother and her grand-daughter.
During the action month for children and to start the new school year, the association assisted the fund for children and presents for poor pupils with nearly VND100 million./.
