Northern city collects over VND200 million to support flood victims

In the northern province of Quang Ninh, the Mong Cai city Fatherland Front worked with the city Red Cross on October 8 to launch a campaign on donating money to assist people in central provinces who were affected by storm and flood.

City Party Committee and authority representatives, together with nearly 100 delegates, attended the event.

The campaign aimed to respond to the appeal of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to assist affected people.
During the launching ceremony, nearly 100 agencies, organizations and individuals committed to donate and directly donated over VND200 million, including over VND20 million in cash.

Of which, the city police forces donated over VND60 million, and people in Tran Phu ward donated VND20 million.

The campaign will last through October 30./.
