Northern province ensure food safety during 50th year celebration

Nguyen Minh Chung, Head of the Department of Food Safety in the northern province of Quang Ninh, has said the department has mobilised all resources to work with the provincial preventive department and the Ha Long city medical station to ensure food safety during the celebration of the 50^th year of the establishment of the province (October 30).

Accordingly, the department has set up 2 delegations to inspect food shops, restaurants, and forced them to ensure food safety.

So far, 15 foundations have been inspected to meet requirements on food safety certificates, food processing equipment and adequately trained staff.

During the celebration, the department will distribute another 2 teams with 16 staff to inspect food safety at parties for delegates and artists.

The effort is said to contribute to build up a province of development, attraction and safety in the hearts of friends, domestic and international tourists.

As planned, diverse activities will be held during the celebration, including a giant meeting, exhibitions, the international marathon competition, and the national film festival.

The event is expected to welcome a large number of delegates, tourists and friends, thus promoting the image of the province to guests./.
