On October 14, the Nam Mau Coal Company under the Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Holding Corporation inaugurated a tenement house for miners in Yen Thanh district, Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province.

The project was capitalized with VND350 billion from Vinacomin’s social welfare capital and commercial capital of the Nam Mau Coal Company, and was built on 1.4 hectares. It includes four nine-floor buildings with 224 apartments for about 1,344 workers.

To live in the project, each worker has to spend VND150,000 per month, including accommodation, water and electricity fees.

The inauguration of the project will contribute to reducing difficulties in accommodation for miners, as well as encouraging them to feel secure during their working time./.
