Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism works with Mong Cai city

On October 16, a delegation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism led by Minster Hoang Tuan Anh paid a working visit to Mong Cai city.

According to the report of Mong Cai city, over the past year, the city has achieved positive results in carrying out culture, sports and tourism tasks. In September 2013, 520,000 tourists arrived in the city. The total revenue from tourism service for the city budget was VND65 billion. Now, there are 184 tourist accommodation places, including two five-star hotels, six two-star hotels and 10 one-star hotels, 100 restaurants and three souvenir shops.

At the working session, leaders of the city made several proposals related to policies for tourism development; investment in facilities to utilize the full tourism potential of the city; and human resources training and development.

Minister Hoang Tuan Anh appreciated results achieved by the city over the past year. He asked the city to promote synchronous solutions to improve the quality of tourism activities in association with shopping. He asked the city to take care of human resource training and cultivation for culture, sport and tourism activities./.
