US group to invest in four projects in Quang Ninh

The Quang Ninh People’s Committee and the US’s Curzon Delta group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation and investment in the projects of Ha Long – Van Don highway, Van Don airport, the recreation complex with casino in Van Don, and Hon Gai international tourism port.

Under the MoU, in the short term, Curzon Delta group will research and pour capital into the Ha Long – Van Don highway. The highway includes six lanes with designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour and 100 kilometers per hour for mountainous locations. Total initial capital is forecast at USD700 million.

The group will also study and research investment in Van Don Airport, the recreation complex with casino in Van Don and Hon Gai international tourism port.

At the signing ceremony, Standing Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Do Thong lauded Curzon Delta’s goodwill and stressed that Quang Ninh will create opportunities for the group to do research and set up documents for the projects. In addition, the province will provide information and ensure the one-door administrative procedure mechanism./.
