Quang Ninh provincial NA deputies contribute to crime prevention

On October 29, the delegation of National Assembly deputies from the northern province of Quang Ninh contributed ideas during the discussion on the prevention of legal violations and crime; the work of the Presidents of the Supreme People’s Procuracy and of the Supreme People’s Court; the law enforcement; and the implementation of the NA resolution 37/2012/QH13 on the prevention of corruption in 2013.

According to Head of the province’s NA delegation Do Thi Hoang and Deputy Vu Chi Thuc, over the past years, law violations and crime have undergone complex development with more serious substances and diverse types of criminals, including drug trading and human trafficking through border gate areas, hi-tech crimes, crimes among teenagers and pupils, and criminals who are cadres and Party members.

With the complex development of crime, deputies noted causes for it, suggesting the NA complete legal regulations relating to criminals so that they are strong enough to threaten the criminals, creating more favourable conditions for the public security sector and law enforcement agencies in the prevention of crime.

They also asked for increased education about laws, coordination among agencies and increased people’s responsibilities to make the fight against crime and legal violations more efficient./.
