Northern district forestry products processors to increase budget contribution

Although the number of forestry product processing enterprises accounts for only one eighth of the enterprises in Tien Yen district, the northern province of Quang Ninh, in the first 9 months of the year, they contributed one third of the budget collection.

Among 80 enterprises in the district, apart from the ones meeting difficulties in production due to a lack of capital, some invest in industries that are strengths of the district, such as forestry processing, aquaculture, and animal and poultry breeding.
The Hung Minh limited company is a typical enterprise in the forestry processing sector. In the first 9 months of the year, it contributed over VND4 billion to the local budget, and created jobs for 30 labourers with an average income of VND3.5-4 million per month.
Each year, the company produces 250-300 tons of chips for export.
Similarly, the Mai Bich limited company leads the district in producing glue chips for export. Its efficient production helped the company contribute nearly VND5 billion to the local budget, creating jobs for 25 labourers with an income of VND3.5 million each month./.
