On November 3, Pham Minh Chinh, member of Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee, received a delegation from the Japanese news agency Kyodo, led by Masaki Fukuyama, Kyodo President and Director.

During the meeting, Mr. Chinh expressed his happiness about the good relationship between Vietnam and Japan, as well as the good relationship between Japan and Quang Ninh province.
He introduced to the delegation some projects and constructions in the province invested by Japanese investors, including Bai Chay bridge, Cai Lan port, the road linking Ha Long city with the Hanoi – Hai Phong highway, and most notably, the 4 kilometre bridge over Bach Dang river to be constructed by Japan’s SE Corporation, together with some other important traffic constructions and environmental protection projects.
Praising the unbiased news of the agency, Mr. Chinh hoped that the agency would increase it work to introduce the Vietnamese country and people, as well as Quang Ninh province, to the audience. According to Mr. Chinh, this would be an effective channel for more and more Japanese enterprises to invest in Vietnam and Quang Ninh province.
He added that he hoped Kyodo news agency and Vietnam News Agency would boost cooperation in the interest of the community, thus increasing the friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries, and contributing to bringing the Vietnam – Japan relationship to a new height.
Mr. Masaki Fukuyama thanked Quang Ninh province for its warm welcome, showing his happiness to visit the province, especially Ha Long bay, a World Natural Heritage Site.
He gave a briefing on the general operation of the Kyodo news agency, adding that he hoped the cooperation between Vietnam in general, and Quang Ninh province in particular, and Japan would be further boosted to reinforce and develop the fine relations between Vietnam and Japan./.
