Quang Ninh province leads 15 northern mountainous provinces in new style rural standard communes

As of late September, Quang Ninh province was leading among 15 northern mountainous provinces in the number of communes reaching the standard for new style rural areas, according to the conclusion of the meeting to review 3 years of implementation of the national program on new style rural areas.
Accordingly, among 10 northern communes reaching the standard, 8 are in Quang Ninh province. Of the two others, one is in Yen Bai province and the other is in Bac Giang province.
The average criteria for whole region reaches 6.3 of 19 criteria, and the average level for the whole country reaches 8.06 of 19 criteria.
Some provinces committed to reaching criteria higher than the average level for the whole country by the end of 2013, including Quang Ninh (12.37 criteria), Bac Giang (10.24 criteria), Thai Nguyen (8.35 criteria) and Phu Tho (8.31 criteria)./.
