Malaysian businesses study investment opportunities in Quang Ninh province

On October 4, Nguyen Van Doc, Chairman of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee, worked with a delegation from the Malaysian Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities led by Tan Sri Ling Chiong Ho, President of Board of Directors of the Shin Yang Group, who came to study investment opportunities in Quang Ninh province.

Chairman Doc introduced the province’s socio-economic development situation as well as its investment potential and opportunities to the delegation.

He stressed that although there are only a few Malaysian enterprises now investing in the province, they operate very efficiently, becoming a model of foreign investment in the province.

He confirmed that the province would create best conditions for Malaysian enterprises to do business, especially in areas that are strengths of the two sides.

Mr. Tan Sri Ling Chiong Ho expressed appreciation for the province’s warm reception, adding that the delegation wanted to study investment and cooperation opportunities in the province in areas where Malaysian businesses are strong, including shipbuilding, construction, commerce and processing industry.

Earlier, Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Chairman of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee, and representatives from different departments and sectors, introduced to investors their potential, strengths as well as preferential policies for investment. In addition, they also satisfied investors’ concerns over the investment and construction in a plant to produce crude palm oil in the province./.
