Turbine 2 of Quang Ninh Thermo Electricity 2 fulfilled

The Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has completed and put into operation six turbines over the past ten months with a total capacity of 1,420 MW, including turbine 2 of Quang Ninh Thermo Electricity 2.

The group’s capital volume value reached more than VND77.9 trillion, in which over VND59.5 trillion were disbursed.

In November, EVN plans to dam the river for the Trung Son hydropower plant in Thanh Hoa province and fire the boiler for the first time at the Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant in Binh Thuan province.

The group will make every effort to speed up construction of the Pleiku-My Phuoc-Cau Bong 500 kV line while coordinating with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to accelerate the approval of a project to provide electricity for Ly Son Island in the central province of Quang Ngai .

EVN strives to complete the Vinh Tan-Song May 500 kV line and Vinh Tan 500 kV transformer station of the Vinh Tan 2 thermoelectric plant, and the Son Ha-Doc Soi 220 kV line of the Dak Drinh hydropower plant.

By this month, the group schedules to finalise upgrades to part of the 500kV north-south transmission line and begin laying an undersea cable connecting Ha Tien and Phu Quoc island./.
