DPRK Rodong Sinmun delegation pays working visit to Quang Ninh province

On November 13, in Ha Long city, Vu Ngoc Giao, member of the provincial Standing Committee and Head of the provincial Committee on Popularization and Training, met with a delegation from Rodong Sinmun daily, an official newspaper of the Workers’ Party of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) led by Ri Kyong Sop, Rodong Sinmun’s deputy editor-in-chief, who were on a visit to Vietnam.

During the meeting, Mr. Giao informed the delegation of the outstanding socio-economic situation of the province in recent years, especially its orientations of development for the years to come.

He confirmed the importance of the friendship and cooperation relations between Vietnam and the DPRK, built by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung together with previous generations of leaders, adding that Vietnamese people as well as Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee, authority and people attached importance to and hoped to further reinforce the fine traditional relations in the new situation, thus satisfying the interests of the two peoples, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and in the world.

Mr. Ri Kyong Sup showed his happiness at coming and visiting Quang Ninh province, thanking his hosts for the warm reception.

He said that he was pleased to see the province’s socio-economic achievements in recent years.

He introduced the situation in the DPRK, as well as the operations of Rodong Sinmun daily.

He confirmed his desire to set up the relationship between Rodong Sinmun daily with communications agencies in the province, in order to contribute to developing to the friendship and traditional relationship between the two Parties, States and people.
