Quang Ninh spends VND310 billion supporting production models

In nearly 3 years of implementing the national target programme on building new rural areas, the northern province of Quang Ninh spent about VND310 billion supporting the development of more than 450 projects and production models.
Thanks to the assistance capital, production areas in combination with building and developing trademarks for agricultural products were shaped, such as flower and vegetable plantation areas in Hoanh Bo and Quang Yen, high-quality rice cultivation area and fruit tree area in Dong Trieu district, and aquaculture area in Quang Yen, Hai Ha districts and Mong Cai city.
The production areas contributed to improving the people’s lives in rural areas. According to Quang Ninh Department for Rural Area Construction, people’s income in rural areas increased from VND10.98 million per year in 2010 to VND14 million in 2012.
By 2015, people’s income in rural areas in the province is expected to rise 1.5-2 folds against the average rate in 2010./.
