Northern district gives vocational training to over 500 rural labourers

Since the beginning of the year, the Dong Trieu district Department of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs has worked with the provincial job creation centre to hold 15 training courses on cooking, pottery, electricity and water, aquaculture technique, breeding and planting industries.

The participants are mainly poor labourers and those living near the poverty line, ethnic minority people, those whose land has been revoked for other purposes, revolutionary contributors and disabled people.

After the training courses, many trainees at non-agricultural training courses were introduced to companies and enterprises for jobs, while those in agricultural training courses were assisted to open cooperatives and farms.

Through the program, farmers can create jobs for themselves, contributing to stabilising their lives and sustainably reducing poverty./.
