Of which, many criteria have met or exceeded the standard.

The effort has been made in an attempt to help all the communes in the province reach the standard of the program by late 2015, 5 years ahead of the schedule set by the central level.

So far 72% of communal and trans-communal roads have been asphalted or concreted, nearly 42% of trans-village roads have been concreted, and over 93% of communes have access to the national grid, with 98.8% of families having regular electricity.

In addition, the province has repaired or upgraded 213 of 391 schools of all grades in rural areas, raising the number of schools of standard in rural areas from 78 in 2010 to 192 in 2013.

Moreover, the province has invested some VND1 trillion to upgrade 93 hydro-electric and dyke constructions, with irrigation networks now reaching 74% of areas cultivated by farmers.

Together with investment into infrastructure for economic development, the province has paid great attention to renewing methods of production to increase rural residents’ income. Over the past 3 years, it has earmarked some VND310 to support production for 450 projects and models, thus establishing concentrated production areas in combination with developing the trademark for agricultural products./.
