On November 25, Pham Minh Chinh, Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee received a delegation of the Vietnam – Mie province (Japan) friendship association led by Ono Kinichi, Mie province parliamentarian and president of the association, to discuss the potential for building a hi-tech agricultural zone in Dong Trieu district.

During the reception, Mr. Chinh showed his happiness at welcoming the delegation, praising the activeness of the association in proposing a hi-tech agricultural zone in the province.
He affirmed that the development of a clean agricultural sector and the application of hi-tech in production are guidelines of the province.
He urged the association to work with relevant agencies as soon as possible to reach a consensus in investment targets and a roadmap, as well as the responsibilities of each side.
After having the project, he pledged to work with the Government and relevant ministries and agencies to promote the investment and carry out following steps.
He said he hoped the association would continue to have deep cooperation with the province in the upcoming time.
The provincial Party Committee Secretary sent an invitation to Mie provincial mayor to visit Quang Ninh province to discuss the project further.
For his part, Mr. Ono Kinichi appreciated the province’s warm reception, confirming that the association had seen a lot of potential and advantages to carrying out the project in the province after their one month long survey.
During their current trip, the delegation would conduct deeper studies on carrying out the project.
He added that many enterprises and investors from Mie province paid attention to investment in Quang Ninh province and wanted to surveys different areas for investment.
He said after returning to his country, he would make a report about the project and deliver Mr. Chinh's invitation to Mie province mayor, going on to say that he hoped the cooperation between the two sides in the project would proceed well./.
